About ReGen Wallaby Creek

Friday 4/7/25 2pm till Sunday 6/7/25 2pm.

Come to Wallaby Creek and regenerate yourself in nature – camping, birds, trees, peace & quiet – or – immerse yourself with like-minded people and families, attending off-grid skill workshops, listening to a variety of speakers, a communal dinner on Friday night…

It all sounds good, doesn’t it?  Well, from the 4th – 6th of July at Rossville, we will be doing just that.  Tickets are at the gate and are a recommended donation of $50- $100 per adult.  

This fundraising gathering is going to raise much needed funds to ensure the Cape York Folk Club can put on this year’s music and arts festival, Wallaby Creek Festival, the 23rd anniversary!

On offer on the ReGen Workshops program so far:

Off-Grid Skills – Simple Solar Power; Smoking Meat – Hot & Cold; Basic Butchery, Emergency Loo-The Compostable Pod; Waste & Upcycling; Plant identification; Plant Dyes; Bee keeping.

Alternative Building – Earth Renders & Cob building; Stone Retaining Wall; Reciprocal Roof Design;

Wellbeing & Food- Bush Medicine Walk, Biscuit Tin Guitars

–Dr Wendy Seabrook- “Gaia’s Regen Blueprint for Sustainable Living.” In this interactive workshop we’ll explore using ecosystems as our model for sustainability to regenerate our homes, businesses and communities.

  1.  “Organic isn’t always more nutritious. How do we grow nutrient-dense food?”  

Wendy explains: “Using organic growing practices doesn’t guarantee that the food we harvest will have higher nutrient density. However, thanks to recent research we do now have a straightforward and affordable way to grow nutrient-dense food.”
