Guided walks in the World Heritage Wet Tropics

A 40 minute walk along a well beaten track to the spectacular Home Rule Falls. Remnants of tin mining, an important part of the local history, can be found by those keen to explore a little further. Come for a guided walk to the falls and exploration of the unique and one of the worlds most ancient of rainforest. Daintree Penda seedlings cover the forest floor with their new blue leaves, waiting as seedling, sometimes for years for a giant to fall for a break in the canopy. Tall Black Palms and Fan palms, large quandongs, figs, mahoganys and satinashes draped with vines, ferns, orchids and staghorns provide a lush habitat for many creatures.

Sit quietly upon a rock and you may sight a platypus, the brilliant blue ulysses butterfly or a little kingfisher.

This is an enviromentally friendly event.
Please be prepared to Reduce, Recycle, Reuse & Compost your rubbish
and/or take your rubbish home with you
