What do I do with my rubbish?  – RECYCLE –  Please take it home with you.

Where can I get tickets?  Tickets are available online from the website, dont forget your barcoded ticket and receipt!   ID will be required.

Gate opens from noon Thursday.
Youths 13-17 ?  ID REQUIRED – must be accompanied by an adult
Wristbands must be worn at all times – Lost wristbands will not be replaced.
Can I camp?       Camping is included in your 3 day pass for the festival. Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday camping to 10am Monday in the most amazing venue, surrounded by mountains, wet tropics rainforest and a short walk to Home Rule Falls.

The Falls:   The walk is 45mins long and can be slippery.  No unaccompanied kids at the waterfall. Ensure you have a torch as it gets dark early in the rainforest.  No liability will be taken for accidents at the waterfall or on the walk. 

Can I come early?    Unless crew, volunteer or performer, camping during the week prior to the festival is restricted to certain areas as the site is a construction site, for your safety.  You will have to pay camping fees and have your festival passes, which will be refunded if you leave before the gates open Thursday 29th September at noon.
Can I bring my caravan?  Larger vans not encouraged as they take so much space however you will be restricted to the area for larger vehicles. Generators also not allowed in family camping areas. We want the camping experience to be an enjoyable one for campers.
Can I get there by bus?  YES   Cairns Bus Charters (Cairns Cooktown Express)  see below, and Trans North.

Can I bring a carer to assist me?  YES  The Festival supports Companion Card. Please contact administration prior to purchasing tickets.

Is there an ATM?: Cash out will be available at the Festival Store.
Can I buy smokes at the festival?   NO, make sure you bring enough for three days.

Can I bring my own food?  YES       Market stalls are available with a variety of food to suit all tastes

What about the facilities?       Bush toilets and showers are in various locations on the site, be prepared to rough it :)

Can I swim?   YES      Swimming in the pristine Wallaby creek (no crocs)

how far to the closest shops?     40 kms to Cooktown

Can I use my Mobile Phone?    NO mobile reception or internet

Will I have to pay extra for any workshops or other entertainment?  NO  just your food & purchases from stalls.

How long does the drive from Cairns take?     4hrs with only the last 2km graded dirt road.

Will the festival still be on if the weather is rainy?   YES

Can I buy simple things like tampons and batteries at the festival?   We are working on this, so for now supply your own.

Can I buy ice at the festival for my esky?   YES

Can I party all night long?    Yes, as long as you are camped in the Party Animals camp (away from the main festival), please say so at the gate. Please respect others, you will be moved on if you make noise late at night in the family camping areas.

If I get hurt, will there be someone to help me?    YES, we have a Ambulance and First Aid on site.  We also have a helipad for emergencies.

Can I bring my dog – sorry NO PETS!  There are kennels in Kuranda and Mareeba…and in Cooktown

CAN I COME BY BUS:  Cairns Bus Charters – From Cairns Departs 7:00am Railway station bus depot to Lions Den arriving at about 12:00noon.  From Cooktown Departs 14:00pm to Lions Den arriving at about 14:30pm, then to Cairns.

Sunday : TBC  FROM WALLABY CREEK FESTIVAL 1:00pm to Lions Dens for pickup to Cairns.  

Monday Public Holiday, 2 October 2017: Performers Charter may have seats. TBC
